My favourite things in Praha

Now, that I’ve been to Prague – as you probably know if you follow this blog – I felt like sharing my favourite things about this beautiful city (in no particular order, though).

The James Dean Diner

Praha Food
It’s an American style diner with a James Dean (and a little Marilyn) theme. The food isn’t expensive, you get a lot to eat (so if you can’t eat a lot, think about sharing) and it’s delicious. The Veggie Burger uses mushrooms and the shakes and lemonades seem really fresh. Also the ice cream looks exactly like on the menu and i’ve never experience that anywhere.

Regular Houses

Literally 80-90% of the houses in Prague are beautiful and most of them are art nouveau, so just walk around and have a look. Most of my photos were just façades.

Walking Along Moldau
Praha
Praha Food
In the evening people are spending time with friends at the river and it’s amazing, there’s food, music, a lovely view and a great atmosphere.

Synagoges
Praha
Praha
Here in Munich there’s only one Synagoge (that I know of) and you can’t really visit it (I’ve been there once at the opening years ago), but the ones in Prague are so beautiful and you can actually go inside with sort of a combi-ticket.

Myšák Café

This café is just so adorable and lovely. The service is very kind, they speak German quite well, too and the coffee (Meinl) is delicious!

Hotel Europa & Hotel Meran
Praha
I could not go inside, but the façades are just great! So lovely restaurated and so bright!

Vintage Shop (approx. Vodičkova 17/19?, it’s nearby 440 starè mésto!)
Praha
While being incredible expensive, this Vintage Shop is amazing. At first I thought some things were reproduction, but they were not, the owner sells great robes. A lot of them a Designer pieces and kept so well. There were quite a few great 20s ones and amazing 50s dresses – e.g. a red velvet swing dress without any stain, it basically looked like it was produced only a few days ago.

Trdelník
Praha Food
No matter whether you prefer it without anything with chocolate, trdelník is just so delicious and you get it for about 60-80 cK on the street.

It you go to Prague any time soon, have a great stay! I hope I could help you a little. ;) What do you love most about this beautiful city?
