Pushing Daisies is by far my favourite series. I love everything about it, the way it is told, the characteres, the stories, the clothing. I can’t decide on a favourite character, though I really love Lee Pace and Kristin Chenoweth as actors (and her as a singer), but I don’t only love Ned and Olive, I love Chuck and Emerson as well (as actually everybody else in Pushing Daisies. And even though I prefer Olive’s hairstyles (mostly), I just adore Chuck’s style. I’d wear almost everything she wears and if I had to choose a fashion idol(s), she’d be on that list for sure.

Pushing daisies is mainly about Ned, the Pie Maker, who solves crimes with private detective Emerson Cod. Since Ned has the ability to wake the dead (but only for a minute, otherwise someone else has to die) their cases should be easy to solve, but due to various complications, they aren’t. One day Ned wakes his childhood sweetheart Chuck – and keeps her alive. So they carry on, hiding, solving cases and serving pies in the Pie Hole (where Olive works as a waitress). I just love the series for it’s poetic way of telling stories, the various cases that are so different from other crime series. It is shaped affectionate and very lovely – the clothing, the housing and the pie hole, the enviroment and – as weird as it sounds – the dead and deaths. And through all this you’re guided by a wonderful narrator.

Charlotte isn’t as loved by the fans of this series, but I really like her. First – her way of clothing is amazing. But other than that she’s very independent and a strong woman. Still she can be sensitive and caring. She loves Ned and her family, is loyal to her friend and very empathetic. Chuck is peaceful and harmonious and in general a very sympathetic person to me.
Her clothing is mainly inspired by the 1950s and early 1960s, with petticoat of coure, still she tends to wear Hippie and Boho pieces as well. Chuck’s dresses are bright and colourful – pink, yellow, orange, fancy prints & collars and often matching coats. Mainly wearing heels and hats, also scarfs, bows and sunglasses are favourite accessoires of hers. Here are a few examples and this is the one I was inspired by, of which I talked here. She wears coral Stilettos with this dress, but unfortunately I don’t own a similar/matching heel.

She may not be my favourite character of all time, but I really like her. Who’s your favourite character and whose style do you love?
